Each year Rosin Coven and Vau de Vire Society search the work of Edward Gorey to find a suitable story for the year’s theme.  Then they create a stage performance, featuring original and re-interpreted music, original choreography, staging, costumes, and circus performance. This year’s tale was a dark and humorously disturbing little number… The Beastly Baby. “A calmly horrific tale about a most unpleasant infant everyone is trying to get rid of…”

The performance showcases co-founders of the Ball, Rosin Covin and Vau de Vire Society. Other acts include: The John Brothers Piano Company, TRAPEZE DJs Delachaux & The Klown, Shakti Bliss The Speakeasy Syndicate, Fou Fou Ha!, SuperTall Paul, Les Petite Bonbons, & The Beckys.      Dark Garden Corsetry provides costumes for Vau de Vire’s performance of The Red Queen.

Out of the mist of 1910 comes the 16th edition of the Edwardian Ball swooping in to land at the Henry Fonda Theater on Hollywood Blvd.

From this annual homage to Edward Gorey and the age of Edward VII.

Including all the decadence, fun & beauty we have come to expect

Patrons stroll the multiple floors and rooms of the Fonda theater enjoying the performers vendors and each other.  On the main stage emcee Vegas J. Jenkins introduces the acts.

Not to be outdone are the evening’s patrons, who arrive in their own creations of lace, ruffles, feathers, and corsets. The barons, earls, ladies, courtesans, clowns and crazies were again all in attendance—dancing, posing, and reveling.  Long live Edward Gorey and King Edward and long live the spirit of fun, mischief, and beauty that is the Edwardian Ball.
